Safety of workpiece clamping device
Mahel, Petr ; Bradáč, František (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
Master’s thesis is dealing with safety of workpiece clamping device. In the first part we are describing possibilities of clamping workpiece on different machines, legislative conditions in EU and CR in engineering devices, and general demands that refer to harmonized standards for different types of clamping devices. The main target of the thesis are the lists of requirements for hydraulic three-jaw chucks and proposal of two chosen safety applications. The first safety application refers to safety of clamping workpiece in hydraulic chuck. The second safety application is aimed at clamping of workpiece with the help of strap clamps. There is a description of the procedure of calculation of safe tightening moment during assembly of the nut.
Safety assessment of a multifunctional machining centre
Šponiarová, Petra ; Blecha, Radim (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the safety of the multifunctional machining centre of TOS KUŘIM – OS, a.s. In order to assess the safety of the multifunctional machining centre and the safety of the workers involved in its manufacture and assembly, it was first necessary to familiarise ourselves with all the legislation, which includes EU harmonisation and OSH legislation. Harmonised legislation is followed by harmonised technical standards. Compliance with the basic safety requirements of the relevant harmonised standards is a prerequisite for meeting all the requirements of harmonisation legislation. One of the basic requirements before placing a product on the EU market is to carry out a risk analysis. This has been done by correcting and supplementing the risk analysis of the milling machining centre, on whose design the analysed machining centre is based, to meet the requirements of ČSN EN ISO 12100:2011. Particular attention was paid to the production and assembly stage, where several standard production and assembly procedures were selected. Flow charts were drawn up for these selected procedures and a risk analysis was carried out using the FMERA method, which was developed by modifying the FMECA method. For each risk, measures were proposed to ensure that it was reduced to an acceptable level.
Information security in engineering
Fialík, Tomáš ; Kotek, Luboš (referee) ; Rozehnalová, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of information security, relevant legislative requirements and a number of information security standards. The result of the thesis is the application of the acquired knowledge to a company Ferrit. In Ferrit, all areas of information security were evaluated and described. New findings to improve information security in society were proposed.
Machine tools safety
Smetana, Štěpán ; Blecha, Radim (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
This Master’s thesis concerns about the safety of machinery, in the literary research part you can find information about the law system and requirements of European Union and Czech Republic. There is a description of the legal enactments, which the manufacturers of machinery needs to follow. Second part of this thesis is about the safety of a milling center. The milling center is analyzed here, you can find here the description of its components. The milling center was then described with the help of block diagrams. For each component from the block diagram you can find here a list of dangerous situations which can occur and also a list of safety precautions for each situation. Based on these information the list of requirements for the milling center was made.
The analysis of laboratory X-ray device using possibilities and detection to ensure the entery into nuclear power plant.
Vlk, Petr ; Zeman, Miroslav (referee) ; Varmuža, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the use of X-ray device for analysis of imported objects when entering a nuclear power plant. It describes the principles of X-ray generation and detection and techniques used in current X-ray devices. The thesis includes analysis of legislative requirements related to the safety of nuclear power plants and operation of X-ray devices. The benefit of the thesis is a proposed laboratory task using the Heimann HI-SCAN 6040-A X-ray device, which demonstrates detection and differentiation of analyzed objects and various types of materials. An integral part is the verification of the dose rate limits near the laboratory X-ray device, based on the knowledge of the legislative requirements.
Compared to domestic heating boilers
Budai, Karel ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with assessment of domestic heating boilers. The first chapter describes the technology of boilers for heating a family house per the used fuel. The second chapter deals with the comparison of the legislative requirements imposed on the solid fuel and natural gas boilers. The final chapter deals with the economic assessment of selected boilers in terms of acquisition and operating costs.
Risk analysis of selected types of operated machine tools
Bernatík, Michal ; Kotek, Luboš (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
The thesis summarizes the legislative requirements for the operation of machines in the Czech Republic and the European Union. This thesis deals in detail with the analysis of technical standards related to machining tools, followed by the risk analysis of a specific machining tool operated in laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Brno University of Technology. The result of the thesis is the processing of identified risks and compliance with legislative requirements for the operation of the machining tool.
Technical and technological audit of the water treatment plant
Jedličková, Tereza ; Svoboda, Pavel (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the submitted diploma thesis is the implementation and evaluation of the technical and technological audit of water management systems of water treatment plants – concretely Plzeň Water Treatment Plants. Part of its audit is a description of potable water production, including the evaluation of the TEA Water treatment plant, evaluation of quality assurance of raw and produced drinking water, analysis of costs and pricing costing, personnel evaluation, care of the plant and draft measures for better working of the whole system. The work also focuses on the characteristics, history and the past reconstruction and more detailed description of the individual cleaning stages of the selected water treatment plant in Pilsen. The audit itself was preceded by the study of current legislation, namely the Law No. 274/2001 Coll. and Decree No. 428/2001 Coll. The diploma thesis also describes performing laboratory analyzes in an accredited laboratory of Plzeň Water Treatment Plants.
